We all have had experiences throughout life that shape, enhance, or distort our perceptions of relationships and interactions. Some of these experiences can hinder us, stop us in our tracks, keep us cycling in a dysfunctional loop, or thrust us forward into turmoil. We can get stuck in these places, desperately seeking a way out. Depression, anxiety, anger, and loneliness kick us into a dysfunctional spiral. These cycles often pair with undercurrents of pain, confusion, self-criticism, doubt, and shame. I want to help shine light on the map you have been using by sorting out your thoughts and feelings. I want to help slow those currents by building coping skills and increasing self-regulation. In doing this, we can get a better look at what is causing these massive stirs within you. Then, the healing can start, resilience can build, and you can get out of these damaging loops. I use a trained ear to listen attentively, insightfully, and compassionately. My therapeutic approach is trauma and attachment-informed with awareness around emotional, cognitive, and somatic processes. I want to find the source of your suffering and ways to heal that suffering. There is a way out of this; resilience is possible and therapy is a courageous step towards healing. "The wound is the place where the light gets in."--Rumi
