As a licensed therapist, I recognize that all clients are unique individuals. Different types of therapy work differently with everyone, as do different strategies. I work to gain an understanding of what type of therapy will be most effective. In addition, I have a holistic approach. I start with an optimistic view of all individuals and provide a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, without judgment, where you can find answers that help you move forward toward your goals and establish what you want to achieve in therapy. I strive to help you feel connected with others, and sustain healthy boundaries. Predominantly, I practice Person-Centered and Solution-focused therapy and combine Gestalt and Existential techniques. You, as the client will experience a warm and open environment where you are welcomed and accepted. I encourage self-empowerment, and for individuals to participate with openness and honesty. I am well informed on how to build motivation. My practice includes adults aged 25 years and up. Areas of focus and experience are stress-related issues, including anxiety and panic disorder, PTSD, depression, trauma transformation, grief, and loss, self-esteem issues, LGBTQ concerns, dementia, cognitive impairments, and caregiver stress. I offer extensive knowledge of the aging population, as well.
