Becoming a therapist came naturally to me.....from my parents. My Father imparted a genuine interest in people along with an engaging wit, and my Mother graced me with her patience, profound kindness and empathy for all living things. The balance of my preparation required planning: acquiring extensive professional experience and excellent clinical training that shaped me into the therapist that I currently am. It's my belief that the process of psychotherapy, done well, can be uplifting through many of the challenges, ordinary and extraordinary, that living can present. Across the past 36 years I have enjoyed playing, therapeutically, with young children, examining the contradictions of adolescents, assisting in the actualization of young adult dreams, and working with couples. My practice spans all the ages of the life cycle, and I value the opportunity to work with diverse populations. In my journey to now, I spent time as a successful high school and collegiate athlete, a Peace Corps Volunteer, a Clinical Supervisor for graduate students, and eventually a parent. Each of these experiences transformed me personally, and informed me professionally. Please contact me if you think we might be a "match" to work together collaboratively.
