If you feel like something is missing, like you’re struggling with things that are out of balance in your life, I’m here to help you become the person you truly wish to be, to find healing, wholeness, and a sense of congruence with your values and identities. It’s so easy for life to get the best of us, leaving us feeling out of control or not fully ourselves. We’re often not even aware of how much the problems within us have to do with the systems outside of us, like our relationships, communities, and culture. That's why I especially love working with marginalized (LGBTQ+, ethnic minority, etc.) and young/emerging adults. I'll work with you to engage in meaningful introspection; explore your identities, roles, and place in larger systems; and delve into those sometimes overwhelming emotions convincing you that you're powerless to your circumstances. I specialize in treating adjustment/transition, mood/anxiety, identity (LGBTQ+, multicultural, etc.), and relationship issues. I have been working in mental health since 2005, first in psychiatric clinical pharmacy, and now in counseling psychology. I use evidenced-based psychotherapy treatments. Most importantly, you will find me to be easy-going, approachable, and informal so that you feel safe, unpressured, and able to pursue your goals on your terms and in your time.
