Hello! My name is Dana Abbey and I have been a fully licensed psychotherapist established in the mental health field for 12 years. Over the course of these years I have worked in settings such as emergency rooms, residential treatment programs, partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient programs, schools, and outpatient clinics. This has afforded me a well rounded understanding of all aspects of mental healthcare. In the recent years I have incorporated telehealth into practice, allowing greater accessibility and convenience to more clients while providing the same results as in person therapy. I have experience providing multiple styles of therapy and am able to adjust interventions and treatment modalities according to a clients individual needs. In my experience the most successful treatment outcomes combine traditional talk therapy while providing resources such as reading materials, worksheets, journals, etc. I believe my greatest strength (that has been confirmed by my clients!) is my empathic nature and compassion for human beings. I genuinely care about the well being of others and will always be an advocate for their needs.
