About

I have over 20 years of experience in working with children, adolescents (and their families) with behavioral challenges in the Treatment Foster System and private practice. I believe that a systemic approach to healing provides the most lasting benefits to the entire family. I also use a client centered approach to promote self-acceptance, improve self-esteem and increase confidence in relationships through positive communication skills. I believe in taking a collaborative approach with clients and using their strengths to encourage change and overcome difficulties.

I can provide effective treatment to teens, adults and families experiencing: - anxiety/depression - relationship and adjustment issues (work, life changes, parenting, relationship, divorce decision making and post divorce personal and family readjustment) - grief and loss (including miscarriage) - trauma - women's unique issues - effective parenting

As I have extensive experience working in the foster care system, I can work well with foster families and the unique issues that they experience. I treat both the child and their experiences as well as the foster family's adjustment to the child placed with them.
