I believe I have been successful for almost 30 years in the field of mental health counseling because I approach each client I meet with curiosity. I respect each that client has an individual experience, their own life challenges and strengths. And each client has individual goals and vision for their life. Our life experiences, challenges and strengths shape each one of us and I believe it's important to approach each person at the most basic level of being curious about who they are. Only by listening to you and your experiences can I know how best partner with you to guide you in your life journey. My areas of experience are broad. I've worked with clients of all ages over my career. The areas I most directly specialize in are trauma and healing, eating disorders, and other mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and child/ adolescent behavioral challenges. Each client is an opportunity to challenge myself and my creativity. I know it is difficult to be vulnerable and accept that we all need help sometimes. I respect every client's courage in taking this difficult step. I approach each client with that awareness and empathy. I also know that change is difficult and sometimes feels daunting. I believe that counseling is a partnership with your goals always at the forefront.
