About

I have a passion for connecting with my clients on an interpersonal level. My counseling philosophy is that therapy should first and foremost be a safe space for you to express any of your emotions and experiences. I pride myself in being a non-judgmental and receptive counselor. I practice a relaxed therapy style that focuses on processing and emotion identification with a trauma-informed approach. I also include CBT and DBT skills where appropriate. I enjoy adding non-verbal approaches to processing, including the use of play, art, and creative expression.

I received my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University, and my Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pittsburgh. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Board Certified Counselor. I am certified in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). I offer supervision for pre-licensed professionals.

My expertise is in supporting children, adolescents, and transition-age young adults with stress, grief and loss, major adjustments and transitions, and anxiety and mood disorders. However, I serve potential clients of all genders and diverse backgrounds. If you think we may be a good fit, contact Congruence Counseling to set up a brief consultation call!
