Does life right now seem difficult, confusing, overwhelming? Do you feel empty, or stuck? Have you experienced a painful loss? Are you dealing with a life transition, wishing to achieve something new without knowing how to move forward? Do you long for a relationship? Or is the relationship you have contentious, troubled or unfulfilling? I will work closely and collaboratively with you-whether an individual or couple-to examine what is troubling you, to understand and unravel repetitive, unproductive behavior patterns, to help you move forward into change that promotes growth, relieves painful symptoms and limitations, and creates a new sense of expansion and choice. I draw on decades of experience as a writer, deepening a lifelong investigation into what makes us humans tick. What fuels our dreams. What prevents us from reaching out to another-or for what we want. How pivotal experiences influence thoughts and feelings. How we cope with adversity and loss. How we heal and change. I believe that each person is unique and valuable, deserving focused attention and care. My style is warm, interactive and nonjudgmental. I find it a privilege to work with clients of all backgrounds in terms of culture, race, ethnicity, gender and sexual orientation. I also speak Spanish and French.
