Hello, I am a MHR Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern practicing under the supervision of Jan Plavchak, LPC-S, at Empowerment Behavioral Health Counseling & Consulting, LLC. I work alongside individuals who are grieving, recovering from traumatic events/histories, or navigating transitions in their lives. Processing vicarious trauma is a strength of mine. I work with clients as they connect with themselves and others, moving forward to meet their desired goals. In addition to this, I am also a Clinical Intern at Bethesda, Inc., serving minor-age survivors of sexual assault and their caregivers. I believe a collaborative therapeutic relationship is vital for healing. With empathic support, clients may fully process their experiences without judgment. I help clients to identify and overcome barriers. Bereavement, childhood parental loss, sexual assault, and domestic violence are some areas in which I have worked with clients. As a pre-licensed professional, my clinical work is under Supervision. My experience includes working in crisis intervention for almost 7 years and working with a local grief support agency.
