About

Three fundamental values guide my practice:1) I value relationships and believe that feeling connected in relationships is essential to overall health and well-being. 2) I value diversity. I believe that the environment within which people live impacts overall health. As such, I respect and work with all aspects of a person's identity (e.g., race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion,).3) I value a holistic approach. I believe that attending to all aspects of a person's life - emotional, physical, spiritual, intellectual, psychological - is an important part of healing. These are the interconnections within each one of us, within ourselves.

I believe in fostering change by helping people reclaim their inherent strengths and realign (or rediscover) their core values with how they live in the world. I also consider how your environment (e.g., family, society) may be impacting your concerns. My style is warm, supportive, flexible, direct and client-centered.

My approach in therapy is based on building an authentic and open relationship with my clients. Though I am trained as a generalist psychologist, I have specialty training working with: anxiety/stress, women's issues, trauma, relationship issues and couples work. I'm trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
