I have had the privilege of over 25 years of working with people providing psychotherapy and addiction and substance abuse treatment. My approach to assisting people having a fuller life and gain mastery over their obstacles is a blend of dynamic/insight and cognitive behavioral approaches. I also incorporate many mindfulness practices to help people become aware of their thoughts and feelings and maintain positive changes. In our working relationship warmth, humor, curiosity and compassion are used to create safety and trust. As a licensed substance abuse professional I work with mandated programs in VT and MA for medical professionals who have had their licenses suspended as well as persons who are under the supervision of DOT programs.
