About

Stressors from a certain environment, situation, or life event naturally influence the patterns, adaptations, and coping mechanisms that we develop. These stick and become what we fall back on automatically, especially when we needed them in order to survive in the past. Sometimes they are beneficial and sometimes they can hold us back and interfere with our goals and relationships in the present. My approach focuses on helping you take ownership of past and present stressors to create the openness, trust, compassion, and understanding you need in order to be present and engaged in your own life.

My therapeutic approach is eclectic - from Cognitive Behavioral, where patterns of thought about the self and world are addressed to change unwanted behaviors, to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). With EMDR, a mind and body approach is used to heal symptoms and emotional distress which results from disturbing life experiences.

Everyone has unique needs and wants and my approach is to treat you as an individual to discover what works best for you along with you. Through this process of exploration, we aim to gain deeper awareness and insight to help you develop and implement a course of action for treatment with curiosity, clarity, connectedness, and compassion.
