About

Do you need a more creative way to process in therapy? Join me for Art Therapy. The daily stressors in our life can become obstacles and can bring us to feelings of isolation, loneliness, and a feeling of not being understood. We are not operating from the true self in self energy when this occurs. You can harness your true nature through creativity and art. We as individuals deserve to be heard, wanted, and loved. I work in individual counseling with evidence-based treatment through Expressive Art Therapy and Talk Therapy. I believe you have the ability to heal within and offer my services as a gentle guide on that journey.

I specialize in working with difficult events experienced in life such as grief & loss and trauma including sexual abuse, physical abuse, & PTSD. I'm a Studio Art Instructor at APU and Registered Expressive Art Therapist. I use art as an avenue to heal. In past work at UAA I served as a college therapist working in sexual orientation, gender & Identity.

Through learning and practicing these techniques in the therapeutic process you will find the courage to grow, the confidence to create, and the voice to speak. In the counseling process, we take one step at a time. The hardest step may be writing the email to start the journey. Today consider this courage and take a small step towards self-care & wellness.
