Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I have been a practicing, clinical social worker for the past thirty years. I attempt to provide a kind, caring, nonjudgemental, educational atmosphere where positive change can occur. My approach to counseling is relaxed and interactive and based on the belief that understanding feelings is essential to personal growth and happiness. My goal is to encourage, challenge, teach positive coping skills, positive problem-solving skills, and mindfulness techniques so that I may empower each of my clients in the specialized areas of anxiety, depression, and women's issues in aging! I am a graduate from Wayne State University. I am currently licensed with the State of Michigan and I meet all training requirements. I am also a mother of two adult sons and an adult daughter bringing personal experience, creating a genuine understanding of families, women, children and adolescents in a very changing, busy world. My office is located in a building where there are many businesses, therefore, my entrance and waiting room are private and discreet. I enjoy the therapeutic interactions and therapeutic processes by which my clients can successfully reach their goals. I offer a phone consultation so that clients can get a feel for what I am like, so please reach out !
