Cheryl L. Wilson, LCSW, My approach to therapy is psychodynamic, focusing on exploring the client's earlier years to understand their current behaviors and emotions. My practice area of focus includes relationships, adolescents, and families. I aim to uncover deep-seated issues and patterns from the past, helping individuals gain insight and achieve personal growth. Through this exploration, I facilitate healing and foster healthier relationships within families and among adolescents. My approach to providing therapy is rooted in a psychodynamic framework, where we explore your earlier years to understand and address current behaviors and emotions. Additionally, I frequently employ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support clients in managing their thoughts and behaviors. I typically work with younger adults and teenagers, addressing a variety of conditions. I am most comfortable treating depression, anxiety, relational and interpersonal issues, and trauma, and providing couples counseling and family therapy. My goal is to support clients in overcoming these challenges and achieving healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
