I am a long-time educator and mental health clinician with over 19 years experience serving students with a wide variety of academic and mental health needs. I worked for over 12 years as a teacher and then as a school-based mental health clinician. As a counselor, I draw on my experience as a teacher and a school counselor to help families. I am licensed as both a Professional Clinical Counselor and Supervisor in the state of Ohio and a Registered Play Therapist and Supervisor through The Association for Play Therapy. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Secondary Education and her Master of Education degree in School Counseling & Professional Counseling from Ohio University. I have also founded a nonprofit, Foothold International, that serves communities in Kenya, East Africa providing clean water, sanitation, hygiene and mental health services to vulnerable families.
