Therapists » Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Hello! I'm Charissa. Whatever your reasons for seeking therapy, I believe that there is hope for every individual to experience healing and growth. At times we can develop patterns or ways of living that once served us well, but can leave us feeling stuck. My goal is to help clients rebuild trust and safety within themselves, so that they can tap into the resiliency we are all capable of. I specialize in working with individuals and families who have experienced trauma, loss, and attachment ruptures. I work to help individuals process religious trauma and work on healthy boundary setting in all their relationships. I have over 14 years of experience working with adults and children who have experienced trauma & attachment disruptions. I am trained in several evidence based therapies including EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Theraplay, and Mindfulness. I am especially interested in working with folks who are recovering from purity culture and are looking for healing. I believe that therapy is for everyone, but not every therapist is a perfect fit. An important part of the healing process is the relationship and collaboration between you and your therapist. My goal is to create a safe space where you can show up authentically without fear of judgement. E-mail me to set up a free consultation to see if we are a good fit!
