About

Whatever your reason for seeking therapy is—whether it is an addiction, depression, anxiety, body image issues, gender identity—I work to collaboratively to help you get to the root of it to help increase insight about patterns that are playing out in your life. I have been trained in a variety of healing modalities and I take an eclectic approach in my work. I have extensive post-graduate training in psychodynamic theory and process. Additionally, I use cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy principles to guide my interventions.

I am trained as a clinical social worker so I have a great sensitivity to an individual’s psychology, but also an appreciation of how subjectivity is influenced by one's environment. I work to contextualize individual experiences through understanding the impact of race, gender identity, socio-economic status, or immigrant status.

My background as a yoga teacher informs my consideration of the mind and body connection, and I also incorporate mindfulness principles into my therapy practice. Currently I am accepting new patients for individual and couples therapy. I see adults and adolescents. More info at caracurciotherapy.com
