Is your partner or family asking you to be more open with your emotions? Or you might be in couples counseling and your in search of an individual therapist to work with. My work is geared towards individuals looking for furthering their counseling outside of their couples counseling. Many people struggle to share their internal world out of fear of painful memories or worry that they may hurt those closest with them. The good news is that many people who seek treatment for emotional issues make improvements that allow them to return to a healthy, stable, and productive lives. I combine narrative therapy & Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help navigate the complexities of emotions. Narrative therapy focuses on the understanding of your life stories. IFS provides perspective on your many different emotional parts and how they function in your life. By understanding you better, you will gain confidence and the compassion in life. Emotions can feel overwhelming at best and scary at the worst. I work with clients both by being present with you in the fear and pain that may arise and validate your experiences. This gives you the ability to speak openly without fear of being judged or invalidated. I'm easy to talk to and inviting to all people and their unique stories.
