Ray Rais is a Licensed Masters Social Worker who has been practicing for over thirty years. He has a Master's Degree in Social Work from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. Ray is passionate about assisting individuals and couples to experience a greater sense of well-being and fulfilment in their lives. Ray's focus in the helping relationship will include mutual respect, support and cooperation. He uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Informed Care to achieve the individuals' desired goals. He is effective in the treatment of Anxiety, Depression, Grief issues, Employment related concerns and Career Counseling, Codependency and Coping Skills, Relationships, Premarital and Marriage Counseling, Life transitions and Spirituality. Ray also trained and works with individuals and families with concerns related to addiction to alcohol, drugs, and gambling. Ray has a strong and naturally empathic temperament. He can engage with others easily. He is passionate about assisting individuals. When not at work Ray prides himself in assisting a variety of Community volunteer organizations.
