About

Interested in trying something different? Traditionally, mental health issues are treated by a combination of medication and psychotherapy. At Alliance Experiential Counseling, we enhance results by engaging our clients in physical activities, such as hiking, rock climbing, walking, biking, fishing, and yoga to complement traditional treatment methods. This approach is highly effective with individuals with depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, impulse control issues, or other disorders related to inattentiveness, self-regulation, self-esteem, or stress management/response.

Our approach incorporates movement and somatic counseling techniques in order to assist clients in drawing connections between their struggles and somatic issues they experience. It facilitates a stronger mind-body connection and helps move clients towards a greater sense of self. Great for those who have struggled with more traditional styles of therapy.

We don’t just believe, we know a strong alliance between client and therapist supports the positive outcome of therapy. If you feel that an active and experience-based approach to counseling might work for you, please feel free to reach out by phone or email to set up your free 30-minute consultation.
