About

My approach to therapy begins with slowing down, settling in, and getting curious about what your mind and body are trying to tell you. It is important to acknowledge the increasing speed and aggression in our world that can influence our consciousness and behavior - we can sometimes feel we are at the mercy of, or complicit with these environmental forces. I encourage my clients to take full responsibility for the difficult feelings they encounter as we explore behavioral changes that make sense.

I have spent much of my career doing intensive psychotherapy with young and older adults who experience extreme states of mind. I have been trained to do therapy with highly disturbed individuals, people in psychosis and those on the autism spectrum. I also work with people going through major life transitions and relationship and sexuality challenges.

I am a certified Mindfulness Instructor and have practiced meditation for 25 years. I am also a dedicated yogi. I am a strong ally of the Queer and Poly community. I have counseled many trans and gay folks, and feel very at home with all things Queer and Poly. I invite you to talk with me in a completely safe but unrestricted way!
