When viewing therapy as a journey, clients are the one who take the steps and therapists are there to walk alongside them. While on their own journeys, children, adolescents and young adults are striving to develop their distinct sense of self and establish meaningful relationships with those around them. Supporting your child/teen comes with its own set of stressors that can lead you to feel unsure of what to do next. I believe that our childhood experiences impact how we connect and relate with others as adults. Trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, grief and other life stressors can deeply impact how we make meaning. I utilize a trauma-informed strength-based approach, helping my clients recognize their strength and resiliency. I focus on the link between our thoughts, emotions and behaviors and the ways they present themselves through different physical ways in our bodies. I endeavor to develop a strong therapeutic relationship by focusing on client's personal growth. Sessions will be safe spaces with open and honest communication, as well as reflection and growth. I work with clients on developing coping skills, managing conflict, and exploring their unique of self.
