Creating balance in mind, body and spirit is my personal and professional mission. I have been in the counseling field for over two decades. My experience has been very extensive from working with young children in a psychiatric setting to counseling the Geriatric population in hospital and nursing home settings to educating clients on integrative therapeutic approaches like yoga. Currently, my focus has been treating women issues, depression and anxiety issues, physical illness and traumas, parenting issues, cognitive impairment and life transitions. I prefer adults but have been skilled in working with children. I find that using an Integrative Approach for Mental health often brings conventional and complementary approaches together; emphasizing a holistic, patient-focused approach to health care and wellness—often including mental, emotional, functional, spiritual, social, and community aspects—and treating the whole person. I hope to assist clients to find an empowerment within their self to build resilience to life's physical, mental and environmental stresses. I feel therapy offers tools for clients to learn in order to develop content to life; to be able to make healthy growth choices; and balance loving connections with self, others and their environment.
