About

Hello there! I'm Barbara Quinto-Huarez (she/her/ella) SWC. I have a Masters degree in Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver. I am bilingual and bicultural in English and Spanish and feel strongly about representation and accessibility in mental health spaces. Some of my specialties include trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic pain/illness, and substance use. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, families and couples.

My goal as a therapist is for my clients to leave sessions feeling safe, heard, and empowered to take ownership of their life. I will share honest observations and provide insight-oriented questions throughout our session. I use a variety of different skills with clients. I feel strongly about using a trauma informed approach as well as a systemic approach.

In order to do meaningful work I truly believe there needs to be a sense of safety and connection between a therapist and a client. That being said, I want to empower you to choose a therapist that feels right for you. If you feel we would be a good fit I encourage you to reach out to me.
