Are you feeling on edge or restless often? Do you struggle with sleep and often feel fatigued or low energy during the day? Do you have a lot of muscle tension? I help people whose anxiety feels out of control. What if you could learn how to soothe yourself during distressing times and feel more in control of your emotions? Sometimes, the best solution for anxiety is to get help from a supportive and skilled therapist who knows how to guide you towards a calmer and more fulfilling life. I can help you focus on what you have control of during this uncertain time where so much is out of our control. The techniques I use in therapy are known as mindfulness-based and are called Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). They hold the premise that the way you think influences how you feel and behave. I will teach you tools that will help you tolerate difficult emotions and turn down the volume on unhelpful thoughts. Your role in therapy is to be a brave explorer. As your therapist, my role is to guide and support you towards overcoming stress, worry and fear. If you want help making changes in your life check out my website and learn more about how I can help. At this time I am only doing video sessions via HIPPA complaint video conferencing software.
