About

The ideal client would finally be open to change and hope to have better interpersonal relationships. This can be a client who struggles with their anxiety, possibly has poor attachment styles, and struggles with holding meaningful relationships (romantic, platonic, familial). Their goals would be identifying healthy boundaries and healthy responses, increasing effective communication skills, and identifying past relationships/present relationships in order to identify patterns/habits. I would work with the client through talk therapy to identify family relationships/family dynamics and provide empathy to explore and process what they believe are healthy attachments and relationships and why. I began working with the client on cognitive behavioral therapy and added compassion-focused therapy.

Shame dies when stories are told in safe spaces. My goal is to provide my clients with a safe space to express their thoughts and feelings free of judgment and condemnation. This will allow the client the opportunity to tell their story in their own words.
