I am a social worker with many years of clinical experience. I am originally from Curacao, a small Caribbean island. I pursued my education in the United States and have practiced here for 22 years. I am aware of the strength and courage it takes to make significant life changes. I bring this perspective to my clinical work. I have great appreciation and admiration for people who pursue the journey of change. I offer a safe, non-judgmental environment in which clients can explore the personal transformations they want to make in their lives. I treat adults 18 years and older. I work with clients dealing with a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, sexuality, low self-esteem, relationships and major life transitions. I have expertise in working with the college population and the unique issues students face as they move toward greater independence as I worked at MIT for 22 yrs.
