About

I believe counseling includes discussing a variety of issues, primarily focusing on agreed upon areas of change. While counseling may at times feel uncomfortable due to talking about difficult issues, it should leave you with a better understanding of yourself and/or your family. There may be activities or "homework" to do between sessions. You are an active participant in the process, and if it does not seem to be working, discuss this with me at any time. I have over 10 years of working with children, adolescents, young adults and families & look forward to possibly working with you.

I have extensive training in working with issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, & self harm behaviors. Additionally, I work with concerns related to behavioral problems, relationship issues, grief & loss, & school difficulties.

I believe therapeutic goals are best achieved by working as a member of a multidisciplinary team- therefore whenever possible I involve family members, school personnel, medical professionals, etc. in my work. I have WA state designation as a Child Mental Health Specialist & Mental Health Professional.
