While not everyone needs therapy, I believe that almost everyone can benefit from it. As a therapist, my greatest reward is to be a part of the process in which my clients discover their own resources, wisdom, and integrity as they overcome obstacles and move toward healing. My areas of specialty include treating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, PTSD, and life transitions. My therapeutic approach draws from models such as insight-oriented talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, E.M.D.R., and Internal Family Systems therapy. I utilize mindfulness-based therapies and somatic focused therapies that generate effective skills to move toward healing and wholeness. My Master's degree in Pastoral Counseling From Loyola University has enabled me to integrate a spiritual perspective in treating clients. While not all clients choose to focus on spirituality in the counseling process, for those who do it is a powerful resource.
