About

I enjoy helping people who want to change. I understand we all get "stuck". I believe that connection is a necessary part of treatment. Clients describe me as “warm, honest, direct, open, helpful and flexible.” I take a no-nonsense approach to therapy. I have been on both sides of the therapy “couch” and know what it is like to share your inner-most fears, secrets, and goals with a therapist. I do not expect your trust. I will earn it. I believe therapy is a two-way street, and I will work with you. There is no magic or mystery, I will let you know what I think and how I can help.

I helped people suffering from Addictions/Eating Disorders for over 35 years. I use CBT, FBT, Relational, Interpersonal, DBT, psychodynamic and 12-Step models in my practice. I believe in doing what works. I keep current with research and apply what I learn to practice. I educate folks about Addiction/Eating Disorders and how to help the recovery process.

As a trauma-informed therapist, my goal is to help resolve current behavior patterns that negatively impact your life. While we can’t change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and make important, life-affirming changes.
