About

I am an experienced psychotherapist and Certified Group Psychotherapist working with individuals, couples and groups. I hold a PhD in biochemistry, which informs my work in psychotherapy by integrating current research in neuroscience into my treatment approach. I am trained in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), an emotionally focused therapy heavily informed by neuroscience that focuses on how we can heal in relationship what was harmed in relationship. My broader training consists of proactive cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness techniques, stress reduction strategies, and communication tools.

I specialize in attachment trauma, relationship issues, loss, challenging life transitions, anxiety and the negative coping styles that often accompany them. We will work actively on the issues that brought you to therapy so that the changes you aspire to are more possible. This includes learned patterns that impact relationships.

I believe we all have resilience and will work to see and capitalize on the best in you. We will actively highlight new experiences of positive change, both emotional and behavioral. In my experience, everyone needs support facing difficulty and stretching into new habits and new ways of being that can seem risky and out of reach. (Ongoing groups below).
