Having worked with a non profit organization for 9 years as a case manager, adoptions specialist, and a family services counselor, I developed a passion for working with teens and adults from all walks of life. I worked as a trauma therapist and partnered with the Department of Children and Families to assist families with traumatic experiences. I have been in private practice since 2014, working extensively with children and adults who have been sexually abused, as well as veterans and active military alongside their families. I am a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) counselor. EMDR is one of the recommended treatments for trauma. I am also certified in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I am client focused and non-judgmental, offering an environment where clients can feel safe, secure, heard, and validated. In life there are times that feel like we are smooth sailing; times when we feel as if we are sinking; times that we simply need to put down an anchor and weather the storm, and when the time is right, we can pull up the anchor. My desire is to help you navigate the storm and give you the tools to pull up that anchor so you can continue on your journey.
