Finding peace and a sense of purpose is more difficult when you're overwhelmed with messages from the outside world about who you are supposed to be. One goal of therapy is to have more compassion for yourself which gives you the opportunity to experience more peace inside. I specialize in anxiety, trauma, grief, LGBT issues, relationship issues, adult children of personality disordered parents and women's issues across the lifespan, especially surrounding menopause. I also enjoy and welcome working with men in my practice. My clinical interests surround how our thoughts and bodies are connected. I've taught workshops and classes in creative and non fiction writing as well as yoga and breath work. For over 20 years, I've studied meditation and energy healing. I am certified in Narcissistic abuse (certification pending), anxiety and trauma. I'm trained in compassionate inquiry, various somatic therapies, attachment therapy and poly-vagal theory. My current interest is in Jungian/depth psychology work including exploring dreams and using writing and body movement to move into a deeper understanding of self.
