Finding a therapist can be an overwhelming and confusing process. You're doing great because you have made it here! There are all types of acronyms and therapies that may not mean anything to you. In the end, finding the right fit is what matters most. I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW), which means that I received my master's degree in social work, became independently licensed, and I have been working in the field since 2008. My style is honest, engaging and compassionate. I aim to get to know your world as well as I can and help you to problem solve solutions by providing guidance and support. I like to use humor when I can to connect and lighten the mood when appropriate. I enjoy working with college aged students and adults who are struggling with stress, complicated family dynamics, life transitions and relationship issues. I also enjoy working with MSW students, therapists, nurses and teachers.
