I believe in a strengths-focused approach to therapy. We’re often conditioned to look only for what we are doing wrong, while ignoring or dismissing what we’re already doing right. I try to build awareness of innate strengths and to put these to use while working toward change. I like working with people who are working to adjust to changes in their lives or environments, and with people who experience anxiety and/or depression. My therapeutic style is warm, calm, and collaborative- it’s important to me that you feel heard and supported in our work together. My practice draws from evidence based treatment approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Problem Solving Treatment, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Looking for a therapist can be overwhelming, and finding the right fit is important. If it sounds like my practice might be a good fit for you, I encourage you to reach out.
