Maybe you have felt like an outsider, an alien, or a chameleon your whole life. Your friendships and relationships begin with an intense connection and then eventually end, leaving you feeling like they never really knew you in the first place. You have great empathy for others but have a hard time expressing or even identifying your own needs and above all else you don't want to be a burden. These are common experiences of individuals who have survived interpersonal trauma, but did you know these are also common feelings amongst high-masking neurodivergent people? As a late-diagnosed AuDHDer, I know how full of relief and grief it can be to learn you’re not a “broken neurotypical person”, but a perfectly normal neurodivergent person. Those years of being misunderstood by the people around you and blaming yourself for it are traumatic and I am passionate about helping my clients identify and learn to value their needs. My approach is relational, meaning I believe transformational change starts with our ability to building a trusting relationship with one another. Please feel free to reach out to schedule a consultation or ask any questions you may have. Taking the first step towards therapy is a courageous decision, and I am here to support you every step of the way.
