About

If you're here, it means you are prioritizing yourself. Be proud! But the next steps include some work - it might be tough, it might hurt, but you WILL feel lighter at the end of it. I'd be happy to be alongside you through that work. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I've spent the last 13+ years working with incarcerated children/adults, in and outside of schools supporting students and families, and providing counseling to young adults. What I know through these experiences is that pain is boundless, but healing is too. I've both supported and learned from clients about our fullness as people when we address and heal pain.

In therapy, I'll encourage you to take the lead. I will offer a safe space to be heard, some encouraging questions, and offer skills and coping mechanisms that might encourage you to explore your feelings through various means. Our bodies tell the story as much as our words and I encourage clients to exercise care in and outside of our skin.

I'm a tad gritty in my approach, but therapy can be hard work. Digging around can be dusty and overwhelming, but we can also leave room to color and laugh. Reach out if you'd like to explore whether I might be a good fit on your journey.
